We stopped in by chance as we happened to be in the neighborhood, and we were really glad we did! The fish and chips (Kibbeling) was really tasty! We’ll definitely be stopping in again - I definitely recommend checking it out if you haven’t had the pleasure.
MoreThe Dutch is one of our favorite restaurants to visit as a family! The hospitality is extraordinary and there is nothing on the menu we don't crave. The Thanksgiving meal we ordered this year was no different. The turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, casserole, and pumpkin pie were nothing less than phenomenal. Thanks for spreading the joy, Dutch!
MoreWalked by and was enticed by the mirrored bar. Students are gone so it wasn't packed and totally kick back...a true refuge. It was a different restaurant & I LOVE the transformation. It is simple yet elegant. Nice background music & super affordable prices. They offer libations that are perfect complement to your entree (breakfast or lunch). They also have hand crafted coffee & hot chocolate. The water is in a glass bottle & served in small glasses. The dining area in a natural wood area with the kitchen visible to all on the North wall. The mirrored bar has bar stools (with backs) & lines their West wall. The lighting is natural because of the wall of windows (South & East). There is outside seats also off of Park & University.
MoreDecent food. Service could have been friendlier.
My husband stole my line. The Dutch made my taste buds dance. It’s the best in Tucson. It’s my favorite.
MoreHad a great New Year's Eve dinner tonight! High quality food was cooked to perfection. Only bad thing was I had to use the same fork thru all three courses. Had coffee but didn't get a spoon. May seem small, but it would have been nice, especially considering the price...
MoreParking is the only complaint, once you find a spot it's an enjoying walk to restaurant. Clean and friendly employees.
MoreI really love the Dutch and I am a student from U of A. However, they change menu too fast. I miss their "black” spaghetti and “green” spaghetti tooooooo much. Why don’t just keep them? They are really delicious!
MoreGreat environment..great service...
Just spent the morning at the Dutch with my mom and had a great experience. The best part of the whole thing was the service. Out server met us promptly and helped facilitate a great meal/drink choices. He made the whole experience feel so classy and the food was great.
MoreStopped in after going to the theatre. Great food and drinks, excellent service. Bartender/server was friendly and tentative.
MoreAmazing service and dinner tonight at this restaurant!! I am here from Michigan for a conference and can’t say enough about how wonderful this restaurant was! I had the Lemon Salmon risotto with asparagus and it was delish. The chef came out and greeted us and asked if everything was good. What customer service!! Highly recommend!
MoreBeautiful place perfectly located by U of A with fabulous food and nice people.
Gooooood place!Dutch koffie was awesome!
My husband and I were going stir crazy during the quarantine and drove down from Phoenix to walk around U of A for a bit since we've never been to Tuscon. We got hungry for lunch and decided to eat at The Dutch. It was absolutely delicious! Especially for picking some random place! I got the caprese sandwich and it was maybe the most delicious one I've ever had. The sweet potato fries it came with were also a step from others I've gotten. I know I will be craving this sandwich again soon! It might be worth the drive down there just for the sandwich! My husband also really enjoyed his club sandwich. The staff was really friendly too!
MoreThe most disgusting avocado toast I’ve ever had. I thought I was going to get food poisoning once I ate it. The avocado wasn’t fresh, it tasted like metallic. And the toast was sloppy and wet. Very disappointed
MoreWe stopped in for breakfast while visiting Tucson. To start, the coffee was excellent! The menu options were a bit eclectic for my taste, so I conservatively went with an omelette. It was no ordinary omelette and was cooked perfectly! The pearl onions and variety of mushrooms put the omelette over the top of most places. My friend had the French toast which was amazing! The crusty caramelized surface was like a creme brûlée flare to a typically boring dish. The fruit and syrup weren’t necessary, but we ate them anyway. Our server stayed on top of everything and got every slight change correct.
MoreAvoid. The food and service are 0/10. Thank me later.
Unbelievably fantastic!!!!! Great service and even better food. Eggs Benedict on point, French toast, perfect. Side of bacon, also perfect. Will definitely be back.
MoreThe food is excellent. Made it in for happy hour, and they don't skimp on the serving size. Service was great. I'd highly recommend eating here. Try the grilled cheese and definitely the French toast for dessert.
MoreGood stop on campus, real Dutch chef and owner. International options, good place.
MoreWe really like this restaurant - a favorite next to campus. Typically very good service - a menu that has something for everyone. Interested to see their offerings at U of A football and basketball.
MoreI make my way to The Dutch every time I visit Tucson, and every meal has been unique and memorable. This visit it was the jalapeño grilled cheese with bacon - where else can you get that?! Great sandwiches and salads.
MoreGreat menu with interesting items. Low lighting, very large, visible kitchen, and bar. My friend and I ordered the eggs Benedict with smoked salmon around 12:30 PM with a near empty dinning room. About 5 minutes later our server let me know the kitchen had run out of the smoked salmon, but the ham was still available. That dish was excellent. The house decaf was also very nice. Service was slow, however, it was 30 minutes before our plates arrived. There were two very large parties that arrived about 8 minutes after we did.
MoreThis place is pretty unique for Tucson. It's a dutch place with what I can only describe as a wooden inside. I don't really know what a Dutch restaraunt is supposed to feel like but I guess this is it.There's plenty of seating both inside and out. I liked the ambiant lighting and the unique look of the place. For example, a giant fridge lined the walls in the back with every sort of drink they serve.
MoreWe had the place to ourselves and I can't figure why. The food was great and served by a very low key waiter. Perfect for those who want peace and quiet. Was tempted to get a Bloody Mary, but will wait until I need the hair of the dog.
MoreCuban sandwich, of course still wondering how a Dutchman like Marcus considered it but glad he did. If your in University area it's worth finding the parking spot, definately look forward to my next return.
MoreLoved the fish and chips.
Fabulous restaurant - honestly.I have eaten here about three times now and have yet to be disappointed. Their fish and chips is fantastic and their breakfast bowl is to die for. I highly recommend ordering the small Dutch pancakes for they come with the most amazing jam and can easily round out any meal. The food comes out quickly and their special coffee is delicious. It is a little pricey, which as a college student is a little bit of a deattraction, but it's nice if you're willing to pay a little bit more for your food.Very nice interior and comfy seats though! Their bar looks amazing.
MoreFun, unusual options. Be sure to save room for Stroopwafel.
Great brussels sprouts. I had the mac and cheese and it definitely wasn't anything special -- it was actually ziti pasta. The cheese sauce was only fine. I wouldn't really recommend it. Will definitely try here again but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
MoreI went there on a Saturday night and had excellent service. I had a Prickly Pear Margarita and the 5 Cheese Mac & Cheese. Both were delicious. We were the only people in the restaurant but weren't rushed or treated rudely. We left as they were closing. The atmosphere was nice and the food was tasty. I'd go back!
MoreGet the mimosa flight! Super fun and they have gluten free toast for a Benedict.
Flatbreads are delicious and the salads. Can be noisy inside and out because of the streetcar but pretty decent service. Water carafe at the table is a nice touch.
MoreThe Dutch Eatery at University and Park Ave in Tucson AZ has an awesome brunch menu served all day long. I went there with my friend, we were greeted right away, and the staff made every effort to accommodate seating for me that was comfortable as I get cold easy, which I really appreciated! The food was wonderful, I had the dutch breakfast, and was able to substitute the multi grain bread for delicious gluten free bread. I'll have to add pictures soon with a better description of what we ate, but we were very satisfied and totally hit the spot. They have a full bar. As well as several brunch drinks and specialty cocktails. Great service, moderately priced, but well worth it for the service you receive.
MoreAmazing food!! I would definitely recommend! We had their prickly pear margarita and it was delicious!! They have a breakfast selection that's to die for! I think my only complaint is the waitress picked her own tip thinking we wouldn't notice. I'm usually a gracious tipper but that hit a nerve. She did it for all three of us. When I took the tablet I changed the tip amount and she got upset haha I didn't notice what was happening and I tipped her more. When I handed the tablet back one of the girls I was with called attention to it. So careful when you check out with their tablet make sure it's the tip you want to give them!
MoreThe best food I've had in Tucson. Very true to European dining and excellence. The New Year's Eve dinner made my taste buds dance.UPDATE: My wife and I just left The Dutch so disappointed. We made a reservation last week for a table inside but when we got there they told us the table was outside. We did not want to sit outside because it is loud and dirty. This was supposed to be our romantic dinner at our favorite restaurant but it turned into a big disappointment. The only thing the restaurant would do is give us a free round of drinks but that doesn't make the outside seats better. Not sure if we will be back.
MorePretty atmosphere with good food. Truthfully, the service wasn't very fast. We sat at a table next to the bar and watched our drinks sit there for 13 minutes before they were delivered. The fries are excellent!
MoreGreat breakfast and coffee! Waitress was awesome!
This place has a nice vibe, and the servers are friendly. Asked to substitute avocado for the eggs in their breakfast bowl (pictured), and they were quite accommodating! I do think the beers are a bit pricey, even for happy hour. Overall, would recommend as a place near UofA to treat guests!
MoreLove this place! Our kids love that they serve eggs benedict and other breakfast items all day! Everything we have had at The Dutch has been excellent.
MoreDelicious, made to order breakfast...yummy Benedict and piping hot coffee. The service was fantastic. Our server was extraordinary!
MoreThe food was great! Ashley was super friendly and helpful!! And the mimosas were so tasty
MoreOver priced under served portions. And toast is a option side not an automatic with breakfast? Like who or where does tht? Toast is with bf always not a dam option over papas i will not go back and would not recommend this spot for dog food
MoreTook the chef three attempts just to make their BLT without turkey on it. By the time my good came, everyone was done eating. Waiter said he was just having a "hungover day". Not great for the $
More"New" eatery in the old Wilko spot. Slightly larger menu but everything still looks and feels the same. Same good atmosphere as before. Would never know it changed if I didn't notice the sign out front. This isn't a complaint; Wilko was good and so is Dutch. Give it a try.
MoreI LOVED the atmosphere, the menu was amazing, my server was so lovely. I wish I could go back here!
MoreSecond time we've been here, and even better than the first. Our professional server Alexa, she was awesome. Food was great, environment is very pleasant. Can't wait to try a dinner here, well worth a return visit.
MoreLet me first say I have eaten here before and had a good meal and a nice time. Tonight we were seated at 5;45 and my wife and I ordered chicken satay and the Nasi Goreng along with an apple pie for desert. Our server came back from the kitchen moments later and said that the kitchen had not prepped yet for those two dishes. Like I said this was a quarter of six in the evening! Now we wonder what they have prepped, did we hit the jackpot and picked the only two dishes on the menu that they were not prepared to make? Anyway, after we chose two other menu items the rest of the evening went well.
MoreGreat spot next to the UA campus. Have excellent food choices with some vegetarian options. Would recommend to others.
